A Mystery Disease Is Killing Dogs
A mysterious disease has killed dozen of dogs and puppies in Northern Michigan.
It has killed around 60 dogs in just a few days. But why?
The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) said that this mystery disease is canine parvovirus.
According to MDARD, it is a fatal disease if you keep the dogs untreated.
They also said that most dogs affected were only 2 years old or younger.
The department also noticed that all the affected dogs were unvaccinated.
According to MDARD, canine parvovirus is spread through a dog's feces, either directly or indirectly.
But they assured the dog owners that it is entirely preventable with the right vaccination.
