Cowboys Pro Bowl Tyron Smith is out for the 2022 season due to an injury

In the past season, The Dallas Cowboys had to play without Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith. This is going to happen again this season

Because Smith tore his left hamstring in practice on Wednesday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport informed Thursday morning that Smith actually suffered an avulsion fracture of the knee.

For his injury, he will not be able to play most or all of the 2022 season.

Smith is set to make $13.5 million this season, the penultimate year of the enormous eight-year, $97.6 million contract he signed in 2014.

Still, Smith was named to his eighth Pro Bowl team though he did not play six games in the last season.

Dallas Cowboys has one more preseason game on Friday against the Seattle Seahawks before opening its season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 11.
