According to reports LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have reached an agreement on a two-year 97.1 million deal extension.

The 37-year-old NBA veteran is extending his stay in Los Angeles per tweets from Shams Charania of The Athletic and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN On Wednesday

Rich Paul the CEO of Klutch Sports confirmed the extension to ESPN

According to ESPN the agreement makes James the highest-paid player in NBA history with 532 million

Despite James scoring 30.3 points per game in his 19th season the Lakers had a difficult season and failed to make the playoffs.

It was planned that LeBrons initial 44.5 million contract would end after this coming season.
