Michael Jordan's Jersey could sell for $5 million at auction
Auctions are expected to go up to $5 Million for a jersey worn by Michael Jordan, the basketball star.
According to Sotheby’s, Jordan wore the Chicago Bulls jersey to Game 1 of 1998 NBA Finals. It will be the only jersey from Jordan's finals game that will ever go up for auction.
It is described by the auction house as "one of Michael Jordan's most important items."
The auction house stated that the highest estimate for a Jordan jersey, or any piece of Jordan memorabilia is $3 million to $5 million.
Jordan wore the jersey on June 3, 1998 against the Utah Jazz. He scored 33 points in 45 minutes, resulting in a Bulls defeat.
From September 6 through September 14, bidding will open
A pair of Nike Air Ships sneakers worn in Jordan's shoes sold at auction for $1.47 million in October 2021.
