Patrick Beverley Is Returning To Los Angeles With Different Team
Patrick Beverley will return to Los Angeles –but with a different team.
The Jazz is trading the former Clippers wing to the Lakers for guard Talen Horton-Tucker and power forward Stanley Johnson in a deal expected to be finalized as soon as Thursday.
Beverley was drafted by the Lakers in the second round in 2009.
But it was quickly dealt, and never got to play a game for the Jazz after being a part of the package that sent Rudy Gobert to the Timberwolves in July.
The 34-year-old Beverley has given LeBron James and the Lakers a solid scorer and 3-point shooter
He has also given an excellent on-ball defender as they look to get back to the playoffs after missing the postseason altogether a year ago.
Beverley played four seasons with the Clippers, averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and shot 34.3 percent from 3-point range over 58 games with Minnesota last season.
