States Will Ban The Sale Of New Gas-Powered Vehicles

California has become the first state that is going to ban gas-power vehicles.

California Air Resources Board approved Thursday regulations.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom told that they are going to ban the sale of new gas-engine vehicles by 2035.

Then all new cars will run on electricity or hydrogen, California Gov. Gavin Newsom told ABC News.

He also told that he was confident that more states would follow the same to help combat climate change.

He mentioned that 17 other states have followed California's lead and adopted its tailpipe emission standards.

Under California's new rules, automakers can not sell any car, pickup truck, minivan, SUV or other passenger vehicles that emit greenhouse gasses by 2035.
